History

Monkhouse Homes began operating in Sudbury, Ontario after obtaining Registered Builder status by the Tarion Warranty Corporation in October of 2007. The company is owned by Phil and Julie (Epps) Monkhouse, who returned to the area after spending several years in Southern Ontario. Their positive experience purchasing a new home in Barrie gave them an appreciation of what they felt was missing in new construction in the Sudbury area. Phil has a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology and spent several years working in this field. He continues to expand his knowledge in advancements in construction technology and building inspection processes, and has gained practical construction experience over the last few years. Julie has an Honours degree in English and a post-graduate certificate in Event Management. She also possesses her real estate license, allowing her to act as the main sales lead for Monkhouse Homes. Phil oversees all daily operations and technical elements, while Julie takes care of marketing, Tarion forms, land acquisition, and sales. By working together as a team, we look forward to serving you and hope that you’ll make your house a Monkhouse!
